At Minx, your salon visit is about more than just amazing hair, it’s about being part of something bigger!
As a proud sustainability-focused salon, we show that gorgeous hair and caring for the planet can go hand in hand.
Through the Sustainable Salons program, we divert 95% of our salon waste from landfill.
In our first year, we diverted 433kg of salon waste from landfill.
This included 16kg of hair, repurposed into 13 hair booms used to clean up oil spills.
135kg of paper recycled into new products.
124kg of plastics kept in circulation.
124kg of metals, which funded the equivalent of 100 meals for people in need.
We also recycle paper, plastics, metals, and chemicals, with proceeds funding community programs and creating employment opportunities for people living with disabilities.
To make it all possible, a small $3 sustainable fee is added to every service. This covers responsible collection and processing of salon waste, ensuring it’s recycled, repurposed, or used to support local communities.
